Janice Veenhuizen, M.D., joined Salem Psychiatric Associates in 2006. She received her medical degree from the University of Calgary in 1987. She worked as a family physician in Canada until 1997 when she moved to Seattle WA, to complete her residency in psychiatry and her clinician educator fellowship at the University of Washington. Dr. Veenhuizen is board certified in Psychiatry with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the Canadian Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. She has a special interest in anxiety disorders, mood disorders and chronic pain. She enjoys hiking, travel, standup paddle boarding, and time with her family.

Rebecca Ricoy, MD went into private practice in Salem in 1992 and formed Salem Psychiatric Associates, along with Dr. Daly and Dr. Tackett-Nelson, in 1994. They were happy to welcome Dr Veenhuizen to the practice in 2006. Dr. Ricoy received her medical degree from University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Chicago, IL in 1988, and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for her residency training. She is board certified in Psychiatry with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She enjoys reading, family time and occasional adventuring.

Important Reminders Before your Appointment:
If you enter your provider’s virtual waiting room more than 10 minutes past your appointment time, your provider may no longer be available to see you.
If you are experiencing technical difficulties, it is important that you call our office within the first 5-10 minutes of your appointment so that our staff can help you connect with your provider. Your provider will not be able to prescribe any medications if they cannot complete a visual assessment at the time of your appointment.
If you need to cancel or reschedule this appointment, please contact out office at least 48 hours in advance or your appointment may be marked as a late cancellation.
